The JC2500 jaw crushers are the latest addition to the range and are utilized in reducing bulky lump ore & drill-core material to 2 millimetre product size in a single step. It can handle feed sizes of up to 110 mm; reducing 90 percent of the material to a size of less than 2 mm at a rate of 180 kilograms per hour. It also features a powerful 7.5 Kilo Watt electric motor.

What are Jaw Crushers used for?
Jaw crushers are created for one specific purpose and that is to break – down big lumps of rock into smaller particles; also to change the structure of the ore to increase the ease of material handling or for assisting in distinguishing different elements within the material.
These Crushers contain a pair of upright jaws; one of the jaws moves back and forth whilst the other remains stationary. The gap between the jaws is tapered being wider at the top and narrowing at the bottom; this forms a channel wherein the ore gets crushed. The range of motion needed to perform crushing needn’t be excessive seeing that the ore is being pulverized progressively.
One of the main components utilized in this process is a flywheel which drives a shaft whereupon the moveable jaw moves and crushes the incoming material. Jaw Crushers – JC2500 Technical Specifications
New JC2500 Jaw Crushers have the following capabilities: Large Lumps of Ore are crushed to 2mm in one fell swoop.
Unlike toggle crushers – the JC2500 takes advantage of oscillatory movements to quickly crush large lumps of rock down to 2 millimeters in size.
This new Model is the latest and greatest addition to the Chromatech Range. Not only does it contain new technologically advanced components but represents the sturdiest crusher design thus far. Thereby guaranteeing not only great efficiency but also practically 100 % availability. The main application of this Crusher is for the processing of drill core & Lump ore samples within exploration labs.
The following design enhancements have been made:
- The Crushing Plate Thickness has been enhanced and doubled to 40 millimeters. All Plates as well as mountings have been strengthened for this model.
- Crushing strength has been increased significantly by the addition of a 7.5 Kilowatt motor. This is a huge 35% Increase in Power over its predecessors.
- New T-clamp alleviates stress on holding bolts.
- The Bearings & Shafts have been strengthened in this model revision. All shafts have been designed to be 44% stronger through utilizing larger cross sectional areas of steel. In addition Movable joints are fitted with rolling bearings.
